Ingredients (makes 4)#

Dough#

  • 500g White Flour
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Yeast
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp Sugar/Honey
  • 300ml Warm Water

Sauce#

  • 1 clove Garlic

  • 400g Plum Tomatoes

  • 1 tsp Olive Oil

  • 1 tsp Sugar

  • Pizza toppings

Actually Making it#

Step 1: Make Dough#

  1. Put Flour, Salt & yeast into bowl & combine
  2. Spoon the Olive Oil & Honey/Sugar into measuring job and top up with water (to just above 300ml mark). Stir well
  3. Pour oily water into bowl a little at a time, combine with hands into soft, sticky dough. Add flour if too sticky, water if not sticking
  4. Flour work surface and knead for at-least 10 mins
  5. Shape into neat ball, put back into bowl and cover. Place somewhere warm.
  6. Wait for 2 hours

Step 2: Make the Sauce#

  1. Peel garlic clove, Place on chopping board and smash into paste
  2. Place garlic in sauce pan with the olive oil. Add the tin of tomatoes
  3. Break up the tomatoes with a wooden spoon
  4. Turn heat to medium and boil. Stiring every so often. Boil for 5 - 10mins until thick

Step 3: Combine#

  1. Turn oven onto hottest setting to heat
  2. Take dough out of bowl. Divide into 4
  3. Sprinkle flour onto work surface
  4. Shape dough piece into rough circle and repeat for other 3 pieces
  5. Remove hot baking trays from oven, place circles onto tray. and apply about a quarter of the sauce leaving a border
  6. Apply ingredients & oregano & olive oil
  7. Bake for 8 - 10 mins
  8. Eat
